**Courtney is deaf/hard of hearing.**<br/><br/>Name: Courtney<br/><br/>Age: 5 months<br/><br/>Activity Level: Moderate to High- I love to play- especially playing with other puppies and playing tug with my human foster family and friends. I play hard and nap hard !<br/><br/>Things I do in my free time: I love to be outside, I love to sniff, watch (and chase) bugs, play in the dirt, and just sit and soak up the sunny day. I also love to play and zoom around! My foster mom gives me cardboard chewing projects and I love to shred them! I also love to nibble on my toys and chew on my bones.<br/><br/>Things I know: I know “sit” with a hand signal and am working on down ! As a deaf puppy I am working on looking to my people.<br/><br/>Things I am learning: I am learning how to “listen” with my eyes! As a deaf puppy I learn by watching and looking at hand signals. I’m learning how to walk on a leash, how to come and how to lay down. I’m learning how to get along with other dogs and puppies, I need some help from the humans sometimes because I’m an excited puppy and I can’t hear all of the things the other puppies and dogs tell me!<br/><br/>Kids: I get really excited by kids, kids 10+ only please.<br/><br/>Dogs: I love to play with other puppies my age! I love to observe adult dogs; when I see one I will stop, sit, and observe them. I’m learning how to navigate life with my foster dog siblings (5 and 16 pit bull mixes). I am learning that they don’t always want to play (even though I wish they did!)<br/><br/>Cats: I haven’t interacted too much with cats, if I see one I might want to chase them!<br/><br/>Car rides: I like to go for adventures in the car! I ride in a car crate and like to hangout there, with something yummy to chew on!<br/><br/>Additional Info from foster parent: Something special about me is I can’t hear you; I’m deaf! I am still a smart cookie and am learning a lot everyday. I am learning to watch your hands and wait to look at what you will sign for me. I also love to use my nose! My foster mom thinks I would do great at Nosework ! I can find anything with my nose! I am looking for a home that would like to keep me in training, give me a job (like nose work, agility, etc), and keep me active day to day.
