COURTESY POSTING Billy's Story
***COURTESY POSTING NOT A TCWN DOG***CONTACT INFO AT BOTTOM***

I’ve been fostering Billy (A767158) from PACC for almost 5 months, and he has completely stolen my heart. He’s one of the shelter’s longest-term dogs.

Billy has spent most of his life in and out of shelters through no fault of his own. He first arrived at PACC with a broken back, survived being a stray for years, and endured the hardships of being overlooked and misunderstood. A staff member once told me, “No rescue will want him because he’s a black pit bull,” and I am determined to prove that mindset wrong. Billy is not just a black pit bull — he is a gentle soul, full of love, kindness, and loyalty. Shelter staff describe him simply as: “LOVE.”

Billy is affectionate with people, including children, and has been a wonderful companion during his time with me. He is best as the only pet, but could live with another dog if he is there first and the new dog is cool, calm, and submissive. He cannot live with cats or small critters due to prey drive. Despite his past, he has shown no aggression with me or my calm senior chihuahua — he simply wants love and connection.

I am currently 7 months pregnant, and while I will continue to foster him, I cannot keep him long-term. He is safe with me, but he deserves a permanent, loving home where he can finally thrive. If he were still at the shelter, he would be at high risk, simply because long-term residents like him are often overlooked.

I would be happy to provide more details, photos, or arrange a meet-and-greet. I am also willing to coordinate transport or assist with any requirements to make it easier for a rescue to pull him, or, even better, for his future forever home.

Billy is a warrior with a heart of gold, and he truly deserves a second chance.

With gratitude,
Kara
Foster, PACC
520-585-3346
Karanetollc@gmail.com

*Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.
