COURTESY POST: Chico's Story

COURTESY POST: Meet Chico the sweet Chihuahua! He was born in May 2023 and was surrendered from a breeder when he was a puppy because he couldn’t sell him. His foster family took Chico to their vet as they suspected he was having trouble seeing. The vet confirmed he can't see out of one eye and the other eye is capable of seeing only shadows. The foster family has been trying to find him a loving home willing to look past his disability.
Chico lives in a house with cats, dogs, and young kids and he absolutely loves everyone. He absolutely loves playtime. The kids like to play with him and he loves new smells. He is also very affectionate. He is calm when left alone but can be very energetic during playtime.
Chico is vetted: neutered, UTD on vet visits and vacs, on flea/tick prevention, He is crate trained, house trained (Indoor playpen for safety), and can walk on a leash with some guidance. He weighs about 16 lbs, he has no negative behaviors especially being almost completely blind and he may be deaf as well, but it hasnt been confirmed.
Chico just needs a safe location, a little help with stairs, and patience being a special needs little guy. But he also has a special personality and just needs someone to love him. Please consider adopting Chico into your heart and home!
