COURTESY LISTING!!

This animal is presently in the care of a person who hopes to find it a good home. Olivia was initially very leash reactive, so she was enrolled in a board-and-train program where she gained basic skills and worked on socialization. While Olivia has made tremendous progress, her trainers feel she will thrive best as the only dog in a household. Sadly, with the rescuer's two dogs and three cats, it's become unmanageable for Olivia to be given the safe, stable environment she needs. Olivia deserves a home where she can continue to blossom as a loyal companion.
Olivia has been heartworm tested, is on heartworm preventatives, and is up-to-date on her vaccinations.
Olivia's spay is currently scheduled for October 17th.

Olivia's main challenge has been leash reactivity, but thanks to her training it's now very manageable. Using her e-collar and clear commands, she can confidently walk through the city. Off-leash, she can still be reactive toward dogs at times-though she has enjoyed some successful, supervised and muzzled play sessions with trainers. She hasn't been around children, and due to her high energy, a home without small kids would be best. Olivia has never shown aggression toward her rescuer; she's simply energetic and was a bit mouthy early on, but consistent training has helped her improve dramatically. She's eager to keep learning and would thrive in the right environment.

Olivia is incredibly loyal and affectionate with people, eager to bond, and always ready to learn. With the training she's already received, she has a solid foundation and thrives with structure and guidance. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a devoted, energetic dog to share daily walks, adventures, and quiet time at home. With her loving personality and resilience, Olivia has all the potential to be a truly special best friend.

A home and/or vet check and rehoming fee will be required to adopt OLIVIA.

Please note the Humane Society of West Alabama is not liable for the behavior of courtesy listing dogs.
