Courtesy Listing- 2 dogs's Story

These two dogs are NOT at the shelter. If you're interested in meeting them, call the number in the post.

Julian was rescued in January in pathetic condition from an abusive situation in Nevada City, along with a buddy. Over five weeks of good nutrition, loving care, and veterinary attention (including neutering), he has blossomed from a frightened, trembling dog-in-distress to a sweet, loving, gentle but playful little fellow, wise beyond his years. His left eye exhibits a possibly congenital “cherry eye” condition, which thankfully does not affect his sight. A Chihuahua-Terrior mix, he has a sturdy build that belies his puppy-face. This little guy is a champion, whose noble spirit has triumphed over ugly adversity. He deserves the best and in return will be a loving and devoted guardian of your caring household.

Rat Terrier Nigel was rescued in January from a pathetic, abusive situation in Nevada City, along with a little buddy. During five weeks of loving care, veterinary treatment, and good nutrition, Nigel has revealed himself to be affectionate, playful, and highly intelligent (he learned to use a pet door on sight and is now doing well with leash training), not to mention handsome and elegant in his shiny tuxedo coat. An alpha personality, he will thrive in a forever-home all his own, with lots of stimulation and activity (this little dude wants to go places), where he can be the center of your world. Please call (530) 272-3944.
