Coty's Story

Coty is a 2 1/2 year old spayed female Pomeranian. She came to us with several behavior issues. She was not initially comfortable with other dogs, but now is respectful and OK with other dogs in the foster home. She also growled, snarled and barked at any strangers. She is now able to tolerate people she does not know, although she still occasionally barks at them. We believe her issues stem from having a low pain threshold, which makes her more sensitive to anything she believes might hurt her. She previously lived in a home with a 6 year old, but she is not recommended for a household with any young children. Coty will be available mid November. On the positive side, Coty absolutely loves to take walks and holds her own with larger dogs who don't have to take as many steps as she does. She prances around and is clearly pleased with the appearance she makes. She should do well in a quiet adult home, where there are not too many things to frighten or startle her. Continuing her exposure to new stimuli should also gradually reduce her list of fears. To adopt Coty, call 347 244-2477.
