Cosmo

Cosmo is the one of our special pups that we are also offering for no adoption fee. We received Cosmo from an owner who didn’t take very good care of him after adopting him from the Charlotte humane society as a pup. Then when he tried to return him neither the humane society nor Charlotte animal control would do their jobs and take him in. Cosmo was grumpy and 9 yrs old now. Cosmos teeth were atrocious and his Pom fur severely matted. He doesn’t like being handled much so the first grooming was done at the vets office while he was under anesthesia for his dental, which was this picture. Later we were able to clean this up by a mobile groomer who was able to easily muzzle him for a nice medicated bath. Cosmo does have some itchy skin and has been on meds for that. He’s not too big, maybe 10-12lbs and is housebroken crate and leash trained. He does get excited for you once he feels comfortable with you and just wants to be near you. He’s fine with dogs and cats. Would be a great companion for a retired person. Please give this guy a chance at being loved again.
