Cory's Story
MEET CORY

He is approximately 3-5 years old and weighs 7lbs.

Cory is a truly special boy with the gentlest heart. After being frightened by fireworks, he ran for his life and was struck by a car, leaving him with a broken pelvis. He was saved during his final hours and given the time, rest, and care he desperately needed.

Despite everything he has endured, Cory remains incredibly sweet, quiet, and kind. He gets along with everyone he meets and simply wants to be close to his person—preferably curled up in a lap whenever possible! He is great in the car, isn’t yappy, and has a wonderfully calm and loving temperament. He doesn’t show much interest in toys because companionship is really what makes him happiest.

Cory would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for an affectionate little lap dog. A calm home—perhaps with a senior or someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle—could be the perfect fit for him.

Cory does mark indoors, but washable belly bands help manage it and will come with him. He has also developed a habit of frequently chasing and pestering the cat in his current home. Although it does not appear aggressive, we believe Cory would be happiest in a home without cats.

He is a genuinely wonderful dog who deserves to spend the rest of his life feeling safe, cherished, and right where he belongs.
