<b>A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME!</b><br/><br><br>2/23/08: Hello, my name is CORKY. I am a beautiful little toy black and white poodle who is just looking for a warm lap and loving arms to hold me. What a very faithful and loving companion I will be for you. I came from a neglectful background and was very thin when I first got here. I am now a healthy weight and ready to find my forever home. <br/><BR><BR>I believe I am approximately 1 year old . I am a total cuddle bug and am eager to please. I am a bit more shy at first, but once I know you, I am all cuddly. Time and lots of TLC is a MUST for me since I am such a loving and sensitive little girl. My rescue mom says I can only be adopted if I am adopted with my sister, Baby. So please do not ask to separate us, as that is not an option.<br/><br><br>Let me tell you, I would love to be the princess of your home. I do well with other dogs the majority of the time, but I have had to compete for all the attention for as long as I can remember. So would prefer to go to a home as an only child or with only one other small, gentle natured dog--no overly energetic sisters or brothers please. I also do well with children. <BR><BR><br/>I am cratetrained and mostly housetrained. (I am almost there!!)<br/><BR><BR>My best friend here is my rescue mom. I love to cuddle up next to her every night in bed. She keeps me safe and warm and tells me it is going to be very hard for her to let me go to a new home. <br><br>I am now up to date on all shots, spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea preventative meds. <br/><BR><BR><b>HERE IS SOME MORE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ME! </b><br/> <br/><BR><BR><br/>GRACIE'S HEART OF GOLD REQUIRES ONGOING PROPER VETERINARY CARE FOR ALL ANIMALS ADOPTED TO INCLUDE HEARTWORM MEDICATIONS, FLEA MEDICATIONS, AND YEARLY VACCINATIONS. <br/><BR><BR>MY ADOPTION FEE IS: $225. THESE FEES HELP KEEP THE RESCUE GOING. PLEASE READ MORE!<br/><br><br>Adoption fees average $150-$300. This fee varies per animal based on additional vet care required to save them. Due to the rising costs of veterinary care, premium holistic dog food, gasoline prices, and boarding fees, which are paid for out of our own pockets, we recently were forced to raise our fees. We are not funded by anyone - adoption fees help to offset only a part of our cost of getting the dog ready for adoption. All dogs > 6 months are vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, wormed and have a goody starter bag. Puppies < 6 months will have at least 2 puppy vaccinations, microchipped, wormed, and goody starter bag. WE HAVE 5 NEW NEGLECT CASES THAT WERE SEIZED BY THE LOCAL HUMANE SOCIETY. 4 TOY POODLES--1 MALE AND 3 FEMALE AND 1 MALE STANDARD POODLE, SAMMY DOODLE. WE BELIEVE 1-2 YRS OF AGE. ALL OF THESE BABIES ARE NEEDING TO FIND WONDERFUL HOMES AND HAVE VERY LOYAL AND LOVING DISPOSITIONS. WE WILL POST EACH SEPARATELY AS SOON AS WE CAN GET CLEANED UP AND ALL VET CARE AS NEEDED.
