Coraline's Story
Meet Coraline!!!

Coraline is a 6-year-old sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger love for her people. She’s the kind of dog who finds comfort in affection and will happily try to curl up in your lap—even if she doesn’t quite fit. Coraline knows her basic manners like sit and shake, loves meeting new people, and thrives on attention, often asking for it with gentle nudges or soft whines. In her foster home, she was house-trained, polite, and great at letting her people know when she needed to go outside. She also enjoyed car rides, playtime with tug toys, and, most of all, staying close to her humans.

This lovely lady can be active and strong, with a quick little gait that keeps walks interesting. She’s enthusiastic about the world around her and may bark when she hears activity outside or sees other dogs or critters. Because of this, Coraline would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training, especially to help her feel more relaxed and confident on walks. She’s patient, easily redirected, and eager to please, which makes her a great candidate for someone willing to invest in her success.

When it comes to other dogs, Coraline has had mixed feelings. Based on her past and her time in the shelter, she would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can fully relax and soak up all the love. With time and proper introductions, an experienced adopter may be able to help her adjust to a canine sibling, but her comfort comes first. Coraline may do well with children given time, and we recommend all family members meet her before adoption. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Coraline might just be your perfect match.

She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
