Copper's Story
Copper is a 6-month-old hound mix (about 36 lbs) who has already survived more than any puppy should. He was rescued from severe neglect-left outside in all weather, living in filth, and surviving by eating trash.

When he was found, Copper was covered in ticks and was finally shown kindness with medical care, a warm bath, and safety. X-rays later revealed a mass on his jaw caused by a gunshot wound. Thankfully, no bullet remains, and with medication, the swelling is going down as he continues to heal.

Despite everything, Copper is incredibly loving, joyful, and full of life. He adores people, does great with kids and other dogs, rides well in the car, and is learning leash skills. He pauses to take in the world-everything is still new to him.

Copper's heart is pure resilience and hope. All he needs now is someone to show him that the rest of his life will be filled with love, safety, and kindness.
