Copper's Story

Copper is a neutered male, 7 years old. He is housebroken, has house manners and knows his basic commands. Copper was raised with children so he will be a good family dog. He also enjoys the company of other dogs. What Copper loves most is to be near his people and be involved in everything they do. Loves belly rubs. We would definitely describe him as a very quiet boy, unless someone he does not know approaches, then he is vocal about letting you know. As soon as you let him know the person is acceptable – he will then investigate to make friends.

Why you ask, is he at TIRR Rescue? Copper was adopted from TIRR when he was around 12 weeks old and lived with the family until recently. Divorce caused him to be without a home. Neither Mom, nor Dad wanted him after the divorce so as stipulated by contract, he was returned to us. Through no fault of his own, Copper finds himself homeless. We are happy to have him back and would love to find his real forever home.

If you are interested in meeting Copper, please contact Roy Hughes at 817-454-6023 or email to tirrrescue@gmail.com. If you are not able to adopt, please consider a small donation to TIRR Rescue to assist with Copper’s care and/or the care of other dogs that are a part of the TIRR program. There is a donation link on our website www.tirrrescue.org
