Meet Copper – Your Sun-Loving Snuggle Buddy<br/>Copper is a 1-year-old red-ticked coonhound (aka English coonhound) with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Weighing about 55 pounds, this sweet, floppy-eared guy is a certified cuddlebug who does not believe in personal space—he’ll be on your lap, wrapped in a blanket, loving every second.<br/><br/>Copper is house-trained (only a couple of early accidents), crate-trained, and great with kids and other dogs. He’s full of affection, adores belly rubs, squeaky toys, Nylabones, and being close to his humans. He also loves to run outside and would be happiest in a home with a big fenced yard where he can zoom around, then stretch out in the sun for a good nap.<br/><br/>Like any good hound, Copper can be stubborn—he doesn’t love being told “no,” and he’s not afraid to let you know it! But with patience, treats, and plenty of snuggles, he’ll melt your heart in no time.<br/><br/>Shoes are a temptation, so be sure to keep them stashed away. All our dogs live in foster homes, so a meet and greet will have to be scheduled with the foster family. <br/><br/>HoundSong Rescue dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. HoundSong Rescue also offers Fi Collars for an additional $100 fee. Fi Collars are GPS collars with many other features we find valuable when owning a hound. Our amazing adoption coordinators will happily answer any questions you have in regards to the Fi Collar and the dog you are interested in adopting.<br/><br/>Pet Friendly Services of Indiana provides grant funding, in the form of free discount coupons, to help shelters and rescue groups spay/neuter cats and dogs in our care through the Pet Friendly Plate Program.
