This charming boy has already made quite the impression with his well-mannered personality — even the vet couldn’t help but compliment how well-behaved he is for a heeler.<br/><br/>Copper is a total Velcro dog, meaning he loves to be by your side and will happily follow you around the house. He’s a social butterfly who enjoys meeting new people and making friends wherever he goes.<br/><br/>This smart pup is incredibly food-motivated and eager to please, which makes him a quick learner. He’s already mastered “sit” and is working on staying in place. He’s also almost nailed “shake” — he’s so close! Copper is kennel-trained and will go to his crate on command. He’s doing great on leash training, though he sometimes gets tempted to give the leash a playful nibble.<br/><br/>Copper is high-energy and thrives on activity. He loves to run around outside, play in the water, and carry a tennis ball around like it’s his prized possession. He does like to chew, so no shoes or kennel bedding are safe from his curious little mouth — but redirecting him with toys works well since he’s eager to learn.<br/><br/>Copper is also showing promise with cats! His foster family’s cats are used to older, more laid-back dogs, so they’re still figuring out what to make of Copper’s playful energy. However, introductions have gone well so far.
