COPPER's Story
Meet Copper - Your Playful, Affectionate Sidekick! Copper is a two year old mini horse! He’s maybe a Great Dane/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix? With a big heart to match, and an even bigger personality! This friendly guy loves everyone he meets and is always ready to show his affection and down for an adventure! You can check out his doggie day out video here: https://youtube.com/shorts/rRXPSKZlTB0?si=VZzaCyH17sFW87Ki Per his previous owners, Copper knows `sit` and `down,` enjoys fetching toys, and is house broken. He rides well in the car. But does not do well with cats. He`s not destructive and has never escaped, making him a reliable and affectionate companion for the right family. Dude to his size, Copper can be strong on leash, but a harness makes him totally manageable! He is very food motivated and would love continued training to improve his leash manners and reinforce good behavior (like not hugging people). Copper has shown to be friendly with adults, kids, and other dogs. In fact, he’s apart of a play pair here at the shelter! Copper is looking for a loving home where he can play, learn, and be a loyal friend for years to come. Adoption fees are currently waived! All pets are spay/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped!
