Copper's Story

Are you a beagle lover that enjoys their quirky behavior. We're looking to re-home Copper - he approx. 8 and about 30 pounds. Copper originated from a testing lab. Yikes - a beagle that had to endure a test lab. When the lab was finished with him he was adopted out. He spent 7 wonderful years in a quiet home. He was the center of attention until a baby was born. Things were still going pretty OK until the baby started crawling and getting more unpredictably active which Copper finds upsetting and difficult to deal with. Compounding his stress is that he's no longer part of the family dynamic. He needs an adult only home where he'd be happy as a companion and back to the lifestyle we was enjoying.

Wonderful things about Copper:
- If you are not a toddler/young child or another dog (not all dogs) , he is the most loving dog. He will want to cuddle up with you, play with you, and is just overall extremely happy.
- He doesn't bark when people come to the door (quiet for a beagle), he only barks when he is unhappy (when you leave the house, or are in a separate room he cannot get to).
- He is very food motivated, so if you need him to come or really do anything, food will always do the trick.
- He loves bones, any toys, and peanut butter. But mostly as long as he is the one getting attention, he is happy.

Please call 908-362-1333 if you think you can help this guy out or e:mail auntmarysdoghouse@yahoo.com. He's located in Blairstown (off Route 80 West) and is currently residing with his owners. He can be seen by appointment.
