Cruzan Satos Rescue's Adoption Policy
We require an application to be filled out with the animals name you are interested in. We typically get back with you in 2-3 days of receiving your application. Our adoption process starts with an application(with a vet reference) and if approved we set up a facetime home visit if the adopters live by one of our volunteer fosters they do an in person home check. Some of our adopters meet their new puppies through our stateside foster homes and sometimes we are able to send puppies directly to adopters and have them meet our volunteer flyers at the airport. If adopted on island we do a in person home check and do a meet and greet with the potential adopters. We allow a 2-3 day sleep over trail period to make sure the dog/puppy is the right fit for the family. Our fosters will always take the dog back if it doesn't work out, we never want our adopters to feel stuck with a dog. All of our rescued dogs/puppies are fixed, microchipped and UTD on vaccines before leaving the island for adoption. We are a donation based rescue so all of our adoption fees cover each pup's vetting, care and transportation. We also ask for adopters to send the pups travel bags back to us via USPS so we can continue sending more puppies to their forever homes. We get a lot of questions on how to adopt from our rescue and we work very very hard to make the process as easy as possible. We try our best to pair each dog with the right fit for them. Most of these rescues have had a rocky start to life so we appricatie serious inquiries only when filling out an application. We love our rescues and devote a lot of our personal time to make sure this rescue is run the right way. Our adopters are very important to us and we love staying in contact and receiving updates on our pups who get adopted.
