Cooper's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The Legend of Cooper, aka "The Plushie Pirate"

Cooper didn’t end up in rescue because he was a bad boy. Quite the opposite, actually. He was surrendered for a crime of absolute passion: unlicensed toy hoarding. Don't let that innocent, tongue-flopping grin fool you—this stunning boy is a master of the soft-toy heist and is looking for a forever home where he can rule over his plushie kingdom!

Quick Stats & Bio

Breed/Look: Stunning Silver Mix (The Silver Bandit!)

Health: Neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines.

Social Skills: Excellent! A stray tennis ball left near the sidewalk. A forgotten plush pig in a neighbor's driveway. But Cooper had a vision. He began executing stealth missions during his daily walks:

Phase 1: Snatch the target with a gentle, vice-like grip.

Phase 2: Look the owner dead in the eye with pure, unblinking innocence.

Phase 3: Refuse to drop it until safely across his own threshold.

Within six months, Cooper’s original owners realized they no longer owned a living room; they owned a logistics warehouse for squeaky toys. The breaking point came during the Great Teddy Bear Heist, when Cooper successfully negotiated three separate plushies away from the neighborhood toddlers in exchange for letting them pat his incredibly soft head.

How He Landed in Rescue

When his family had to unexpectedly relocate overseas to an apartment with a strict "two-toy maximum" policy, they knew Cooper would never survive the emotional toll. They made the heartbreaking, but incredibly loving, choice to surrender him to a rescue that understood his specific... curation needs.

They delivered him to the rescue along with three giant contractor trash bags filled entirely with his personal estate.

The Rescue Intake Note Read: > "Must be allowed to maintain a minimum radius of five toys at all times. Will trade compliance for anything green and crinkly. Smile is blinding; do not look directly into it without a toy in hand."

Life at the Rescue Today

The photo above captures Cooper exactly 12 minutes after he discovered the rescue's outdoor play yard. While the other dogs were chasing balls or sniffing the fence line, Cooper immediately went to work. He systematically raided the communal toy bin, dragged every single item into a strategic semicircle in the shade, and sat down to admire his kingdom.

He is currently looking for a forever family with:

A high tolerance for squeaking during playtime.

A large floor plan (for inventory display).

An owner who accepts that everything plush now belongs to the silver bandit.

Aside from his hilarious toy obsession, Cooper is an absolute dream of a dog. He is active and loves to play. He is ready to bring a lifetime of laughter, loyalty, and a lot of soggy stuffed animals to his perfect match!

Ready to adopt Cooper?

Please submit an application here https://www.arrfnc.com/info/adoptionHi. I am new to the rescue. My foster mom will update when she learns more about me.For more information and to submit an application, got to www.arrfnc.com. Thanks!
