Cooper's Story
BASIC FACTS
Breed: Cavalier/Dachshund
Color: Red/Brown/White
Age: 3-years old
Gender: Male (Neutered)
Size: Small, 10 pounds
House-trained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
Good with Kids: Unknown
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown
Concerns: New owner needs to have a slow introduction, because of his shyness.

BIOGRAPHY
Meet Cooper!
Cooper was rescued from a hoarding situation where there were over 14 dogs in the home. Due to this, he is great with other dogs but never had a lot of socialization with many humans, so he is timid (NOT aggressive) when meeting new people.
Cooper is very shy and nervous when meeting new people. He will bark when first meeting anyone, and he will warm up after a few minutes. He is very playful and would love to have another dog to play with. When the weather is warm, he likes to run around in the yard. He has a very loud bark when he barks, so he would do better in a single-family home, rather than an apartment.
Cooper is a very sweet boy, and he loves to cuddle with you on the couch. He would love to sleep in the big bed with his person as well. He will need some practice walking on a leash and harness, because he wants to run, rather than walk. He also pulls when he is walked, so he will need some practice with his walking routine.
Cooper is a very active three-year-old, Cooper would do best in a home with a fence yard to run and play.
Cooper is available for adoption on 3/13/26. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is being fostered in Walkersville, MD and is available for an adoption fee of $400.00.

If you are interested in adopting, please submit an application
online at www.sophiasgracefoundation.org ***Petfinder/
RescueMe inquiries are NOT considered applications and may
not be responded to***
