Cooper 22715's Story

Meet Cooper!

This 2-year-old hound mix is potty trained, crate trained, well-behaved, super friendly, and ready to find his new family. He is such a good boy that he even graduated with his Canine Good Citizen certification last year!

Cooper grew up in the shelter system in Missouri, where he was overlooked by potential adopters and always left behind for unknown reasons. MARS wanted to give this happy fella a fair chance at life, so he is now thriving in a home environment with his foster family. This snuggly boy is fully embracing family life and will happily join you on the couch if invited up for cuddles. When he's not curled up by your side, he loves playing with toys and throwing the ball around for himself. Cooper has a moderate energy level that is easy to keep up with. He walks pretty well on a leash but loves stopping to sniff, so he is working on refining his manners to keep things moving at a good pace.

Cooper has not shown any destructive behaviors and can be trusted to roam the house when left alone. He enjoys taking naps in his kennel and will put himself to bed at the end of the night, where he stays until it's time to wake up. Ever the love bug, he's happy to provide morning cuddles if you invite him to hop in bed after the alarm.

Cooper gets along well with other dogs and has not been tested with kids or cats. Based on his friendly demeanor, we expect him to do well with kids when given the proper introduction.

Cooper is a wonderful boy in spite of never having a family to call his own, and he is ready to become a seamless part of yours!
