After raising nine incredible babies, Mama Cookie is finally getting her turn to be someone's baby—and she is absolutely thriving in foster care.<br/><br/>Cookie is a gentle, soft-hearted girl who wants nothing more than to cozy up next to her humans and nap the day away. If your ideal Saturday involves staying in bed, watching movies, or being glued to the couch under a warm blanket, Cookie will be right there with you—pressed against your side, waiting for belly rubs. She shows her love in the cutest ways: the excited full-body wiggle when you walk in the door (even if you were literally gone for 30 seconds), gentle snuggles, and lots of quiet companionship. And while she loves affection, Cookie is also an independent girly. She has been left out of the crate for several hours and has proven to be calm, respectful, and trustworthy.<br/><br/>What We Know & Love<br/><br/>Commands known:<br/>Cookie knows her basics—sit, stay, and come—and she's eager to keep learning.<br/><br/>Leash manners:<br/>We're working on confident, calm leash walking. Currently she prefers short, easy strolls and lots of indoor lounging.<br/><br/>Crate training: <br/>In progress! She's learning the crate can be a safe, cozy spot.<br/><br/>House training:<br/>Cookie is fully potty trained and keeps a good routine when given consistent breaks.<br/><br/>People manners:<br/>Cookie is gentle, sweet, and polite once she warms up. She bonds deeply with her humans and adores calm, loving attention.<br/><br/>Cookie's Journey<br/>After bringing nine healthy pups into the world, Cookie is finally getting the chance to just be a dog again. She came into foster care a little unsure of the world, but with patience, safety, and love, she's showing more of her silly, playful personality every day. Watching her discover toys, try fetch for the first time, or enjoy her kong like it's a priceless treasure has been incredibly special.<br/><br/>The Home She's Hoping For<br/>Cookie is looking for a calm, loving home that appreciates a laid-back, loyal companion where she can be the only pet. She'd be perfect for someone who wants a gentle shadow, a movie-night cuddle buddy, and a dog who will think you hung the moon. She's low-maintenance, affectionate, and so ready to be cherished.
