When my person picked me out, he made a promise to me. "Forever." We were going to be a family for the rest of our lives. I was chosen and loved. He named me "Cookie."<br/>Sometimes, no matter how much you're loved, things don't turn out the way you expected. For a while, they told me, "Don't worry, Cookie, he'll come back for you soon." And then, they told me, "I'm sorry, Cookie. He isn't going to get better this time. We have to find you another home."<br/>Another home? What will that be like? Will it be warm and comfortable and full of love? Will it be with someone who will give me some time to get to know them? I will definitely need time to learn about you and for you to learn about me.
