Cookie #cheery-ball-of-fluff's Story

LOVES ALL PEOPLE, INCLUDING KIDS
DOB 1/1/24, weight 25 #
Hey there, everyone! I’m Cookie, a cutie patootie who got my name because I’m as sweet as a sugar cookie. I’m an adorable, always-happy, and affectionate salt-and-pepper miniature Schnoodle (Schnauzer/ Poodle mix) who can’t help but make you smile. I’m a very playful fella with a cheerful personality who loves all people, including kids. Schnoodles are energetic, lively dogs who require regular daily exercise for our bodies as well as our minds. So, of course, I really enjoy it when my foster mom takes me on walks, and I walk well on a leash, although I get excited when I see other dogs and hoomans whom I’d like to meet. Schnoodles are very intelligent and easily trainable, so it’s not surprising that I’m already house- and kennel-trained.
I was found wandering the mean Houston streets and rescued by a family who had previously adopted from HOPE. So it’s no surprise that my foster mom agreed to take me into her foster care. I get along great with the resident cats and small/ medium-sized dogs in my foster home. Unfortunately, one of the consequences of my hardscrabble life as a stray is that I tested positive for heartworms. I’m currently undergoing Moxi-Doxy treatment. Given my young age and good general health, I’m expected to make a complete recovery.
Now I’m ready to bring my playful energy and loving companionship to my forever family. Could that be you? I promise to halve your sorrows and double your joys! Now who can resist a pooch whose contagiously positive nature can provide comfort and relieve stress? Arrange to meet me today!
HOPE ID D26-0124-0003
Cookie’s $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas.
To apply online:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php
If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Cookie will be this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.
