They lost their beloved Pit, Maxie, in January and decided now was the time to find a new family friend. She will get the training she needs and will have lots of Pit company from all the extended family members who own the breed. She will now be known as Lola. </B><P>Will you look at this face??? This is one ADORABLE pup. Cookie is a 6 week old doll but don't let her innocent face fool you. This gal is scrappy as heck and will need a firm hand to keep her from getting out of control. This poor dear was taken away from her mom at 2 WEEKS OF AGE!!! The family said they got her from a "breeder" - this is not a breeder, this person is an absolute idiot. No reputable breeder would ever let a puppy go that young. It is so frustrating to hear these stories - the girlfriend really wanted the dog right then because at 2 weeks old it was "soooo cute" - so the "breeder" gave the dog to her. The only thing that will suffer from this bonehead move is this innocent pup. She is very, very young so we should be able to turn her around and teach her proper puppy manners during her stay with us. She will get plenty of interaction with other animals in her foster home so she can go from "Cookie Monster" to "Sugar Cookie". Thankfully she is great with people.<P>Cookie was given her initial puppy shot. She was dewormed and given heartworm and flea/tick treatment. She loves to sit in your lap and be by your side. Cookie will follow you around the house so be prepared for a tiny pup to be underfoot at all times. She won't be ready for her new home until after Labor Day and only homes with experience with this breed will be considered. Local area only please!
