He appreciates his personal space and needs an adult-only home with people who understand that affection should be on his terms. He’s not comfortable with overbearing handling or people getting up in his face—he’s more of a “let’s sit quietly together” kind of dog.<br/><br/>Despite his independent streak, Cookie is deeply loyal and enjoys the quiet presence of his person. He would thrive in a home where someone is home often to simply share the space with him. He’s not interested in toys or rambunctious play but loves to sniff around outdoors, exploring the world one tree, bush, or log at a time.<br/><br/>Cookie is also a smart boy—he knows how to sit, and offers a shake with both paws (and he does it frequently, which is honestly pretty adorable!).
