Cookie's Story

IN NEED OF LOCAL FOSTER OR ADOPTER / AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT Meet Cookie! Cookie is 9 years old, female (approx. DOB tbd), 54 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed and micro-chipped. Poor Cookie was surrendered to the shelter at 9 years old and her stay was extended 4 times because everyone walked by her. The staff offered that Cookie is the most easy going and low energy girl once she trusts. Cookie was surrendered to us at 9 years old She is the most easy going & low energy girl. She walks gently on leash, loves to lay out in the sun, and she rarely barks outside while she watches the world go by. This girl would love nothing more than to spend her golden years curled up on the couch with a family who loves her. At her age, Cookie would likely prefer to be the only dog or may be okay with another low-energy dog. She is aloof and avoids others, and when dogs push, she will appropriately correct and ask for space. Stay tuned for more information as Cookie is a new rescue!
