Connor's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Connor is a sweet 3-month-old, 15-lb Shepherd mix who traveled all the way from Kentucky to New York in search of his forever home this holiday season. He was a little shy when he first arrived with his foster family but is quickly learning that humans are here to love and take care of him.

Connor truly shines around other dogs and really benefits from their confidence, so a home with a friendly doggie sibling is strongly preferred to help show him the ropes. He loves playing with toys, zooming around the yard, and would do best with a securely fenced space where he can safely explore.

Connor is curious about the resident cats and tends to chase them, so he may not be the best match for a home with cats.

He is working hard on both crate training and potty training. Connor sleeps through the night in his crate, and is making great progress overall. If you’re looking to start the new year by welcoming a new pup into your home, Connor just might be the perfect match!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
