Conley TX

Conley is an 9.5 month old, 12.5 lb energetic and adorable almost solid black Chihuahua/Terrier mix puppy. He loves to play with toys, balls, bully sticks, and other dogs (especially ones his size or slightly bigger—he has not been a huge fan of big dogs but exposure to lots of big dogs is helping that). Conley has swagger and confidence that far outweighs his size.<br/><br/>Conley is crate trained, housebroken, a good eater and an excellent sleeper at night as long as he can be curled up with his person. Foster mom is working with him to break his bad puppy habit of chewing on human hands every chance he gets but he is a fairly good listener with a firm NO!<br/><br/>Conley does love shoes, although he doesn’t ever chew them up, just carries them around and relocates them daily. He does chew blankets up but I think this has to do with being a puppy and we are working hard to break that habit.<br/><br/>Conley is really anxious in new situations but will warm up with patience . The behavior he exhibits most in a new situation is growling with hackles up and backing away. He recently stayed at a home, no-kennel dog boarder when we had to go out of town and she said he was really anxious for about 4 hours and then realized the other little dogs were having fun so he joined them and did wonderfully the rest of the week, even hanging out and napping with two huge Husky dogs.<br/><br/>Conley is a sweetheart with a ton of energy.
