Comet's Story

Meet Comet!

This dog is pure, 100% dopey goofball energy. His head is not full of thoughts but is full of teddy bear stuffing, sunshine, and rainbows. He does not know that he is supposed to be an adult dog. He does not know that he weighs almost 80lbs. We don't think he even knows that he's a dog; we're pretty sure that he thinks he's dandelion fluff...or marshmallow fluff.

Comet is two years old. You know how if a dog is two years old it's supposed to be the equivalent of a human in its early twenties? Yeah, no. Comet is the equivalent of a human toddler minus the tantrums and the screaming. He likes naps, snacks, toys, and being all over you at all times always. He looks at you with actual cartoon hearts in his eyes and carousel music comes out of his ears when he's thinking really hard.

Comet wants to meet everyone and be insta-BFFs with everyone right now immediately. He loves other dogs (does best with female dogs), refuses to eat snacks unless you break them up into itty bitty pieces for him, and likes to prance around with tennis balls in his mouth. He's pretty good on a leash for his size and is a surprisingly good listener and is easy to redirect. He's the best boy for bath time, knows his cues and likes to show them off, and gets SUUUUUPER excited for scratches.

Despite appearing to be some sort of seal or manatee, Comet is a pit bull and considered a "restricted breed", so you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member in order to adopt. We would prefer a home with female dogs or no dogs, no cats, and kids 12+ but exceptions may be made for the right family.

To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
