Meet Comet
this adorable schnauzer mix is approx 18 months and 26 lbs, he was owner surrendered with his buddy Nero as they were moving and could not take them along, he is a very happy and playful dog and would love a home with his buddy, Nero, who is also in Stamford CT in foster care, but can be adopted alone
He loves to run and play, he is pretty energetic and will play tag with the other dogs racing around the yard. he seems to be pretty well house trained and does well on a leash, he loves going on walks and riding in the car, he does get excited to go on a walk and will pull on the leash, so he would not be a good dog for a child to walk, he has a very sweet disposition and loves attention.. his owner had him trimmed down his coat is a medium length
OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with no children under the age of 8, and experienced dog owners only.
WE REQUIRE VET RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER
The total adoption fee of between $550 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper and canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
