Columbus's Story

? Hey there, I’m Columbus! ?

I’m an 8-month-old Shepherd mix with a whole lotta love and energy to share! ? I’m super playful, always up for a game with my dog friends, and I can’t resist snuggling into my blanket for a nap after all the fun. I’m also a big fan of chow time (who isn’t?), so I promise I’ll be your #1 dinner buddy. ??

I’m a pretty social gal, great with other dogs and kids (not cat tested) I do have a special diet that I’ll need for life, so if you’re curious about the details, reach out to Tammy Craig Swearingen. She’s got all the info you’ll need! ??

My adoption fee is $800 CAD, and that includes my spay, vaccines, and transport to Canada. I’m available for adoption in Maine, NB, NS, PEI, and NL—if that’s where you are, we might just be a perfect match! ?

Ready to make me part of your family? Furever Homes Dog Rescue of SETX's Adoption Policy
We always recommend the first step is to apply to adopt. Our team of volunteers will check references and confirm if the applicant has been approved. While waiting for approval the applicant is invited to look through our facebook group or website to look for a pup who is a match to their family. If approved, and a dog is picked, we set up a chat with the rescue, foster and volunteer team to answer questions the adopter may have, Once they decide to move forward they are provided the contract and adoption fee information. If they are out of state adopters and unable to pick up the dog themselves - we provide the transport information and add them to a transport chat. All of our adoptions are guaranteed or we take the dog back and refund the adoption fee.
