Coley's Story

Coley came to us as a death row pet from a nearby shelter. While his first few days were tentative, we could easily see that he wanted to be loved and be a good dog as he rolled over on his back giving you his tummy.....but, he was afraid. A super adorable, gentle one year old, (now) 40-pound Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) mix, Coley wants to please his human, thrives on praise and a head pat and is destined to be a very loyal companion. He is housetrained .

This handsome fellow has made tremendous progress transitioning from being frightened of a collar or leash to accepting his collar each morning and happily walking on leash with his human and canine companions. He's thrilled to be out running and playing with five to six canine friends at a time and learned his new name in no time flat. He is routine driven, smart, eager to learn, comes quickly when called and is progressing beautifully.

If you are interested in helping this oh-so-eager-to-be-loved pup along life's journey, you must meet Coley. He comes with our standard medical package which includes his neuter, microchip, rabies, parvo-distemper and Bordetella. Coley has been dewormed, tested negative for heartworms and is also on flea and tick as well as heartworm prevention.

A fenced in yard is a ‘must' as is a home life where the right human can spend plenty of quality time ensuring this pup continues to be handled gently, continues building trust in humans and is adored for the great dog he is. He will thrive in a home with a canine companion because he gains confidence from his siblings.

Contact us at 336-972-4511 OR submit an adoption application.
