Meet Colby – 10-Year-Old Neutered Male Beagle – 25 lbs<br/><br/>Colby came into rescue as a stray in good health and at a perfect weight. This humble little beagle has short legs, a sweet face, and a personality to match. He’s missing the classic white “flag” on his tail, but he makes up for it with a gentle, heart-melting charm.<br/><br/>Personality & Temperament<br/>Colby is calm, easygoing, and an absolute joy on a leash. While his nose still guides his steps, he neither pulls nor reacts to distractions around him. On walks, his tail wags cheerfully at the world.<br/><br/>When he first arrived at his foster home, Colby made himself comfortable right away—trying out every dog bed in the house and enjoying the loveseat in the family room. He’s crate-trained, house-trained, and, according to animal control, will bark when he needs to go out—though in his foster home, the walk schedule has suited him so well that he hasn’t needed to.<br/><br/>Good with Other Dogs<br/>Colby quickly befriended the two resident dogs in his foster home and would do wonderfully with another friendly canine companion.<br/><br/>Easy to Care For<br/>Bath time? Nail trims? No problem! Colby was a perfect gentleman for both. After his bath, he even got the zoomies while being towel-dried.<br/><br/>Affectionate & Gentle<br/>He enjoys petting, being close to his people, and sometimes offers little kisses. His eyesight is great, though he is a bit hard of hearing—he’ll respond if you speak up.<br/><br/>Health & Ideal Home<br/>Colby is in very good health for his age. We don’t know how he is with cats.
