Coffee Pot's Story

Looking for a pick me up? I'm Coffee Pot! I'm a girl who is about 2 years old. I was found running on i5, alone, skinny, and with an old coffee pot stuck around my head. I weighed just 38lbs (now, I am 53lbs!). I feel so much better now! I'm sooo sweet and melt into laps and pets. I can be nervous with new people at first so it might take a minute before I trust you; I am far more comfortable with women over men. The nice volunteers here have been helping me get used to meeting new people. I have played nicely with other dogs before, too!

I spent a couple weeks in a home where they learned that I did great living with another large dog. I also did well with crate training and potty training - no accidents at all! I also spent time with a cat where I liked to play inappropriately rough. I never hurt the cat but the cat did not appreciate my lack of boundaries. I may need a little work to get along better with kitties, but the potential is there! I was, however, very fearful of the resident man in the home, despite him being very nice to me. It may take me longer than some to get used to men. The lady was my BFF!

I'm fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. It is $185 to take me home!

If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs.
