Cody is an energetic dog who is seeking a caring home on Long Island. At 3.5 years old he is a mature adult and about 50 lbs. Cody is loyal and loves to listen and learn new things. Cody would love a big yard to play in with his new people. He is a high-energy pup who enjoys going on hikes and adventures; someone who can take him on long walks would be beneficial for him. He can go into a home with other dogs but prefers a home without kids and cats. Cody can be shy at first, but bonds easily with new handlers and is ready to do any work you ask of him once he trusts you. We do a background check, vet check, and call the references the potential adopter has given us. Call the landlord if a potential adopter rents. There’s an adoption fee unless the bio says it’s waived, as well as a home check or virtual home visit. We can do out-of-state adoptions. If you currently have a dog and are applying for a dog who is with us, a meet and greet is also required.
