Cody's Story

Cody is a fun loving bundle of energy. At about 6 months old, he is all puppy. He came to our shelter as a stray with two siblings. He's about 40 pounds now and will probably grow a bit more.

Cody will need lots of love attention as he grows and learns good manners. He already shows the intelligence and alertness that his breed is known for. He gets along well with everyone he meets, including dogs and cats. Cody will need plenty of space to run and focused activity to make him the best dog he can be. With love and encouragement, Cody will be a loyal lifelong friend.

Thank you for considering Cody and supporting our small, rural animal shelter. Adopting save lives! Powell County Animal Shelter 's Adoption Policy
We have an application form that gives us information about potential adopters' homes and family situations. This helps us to determine if an animal will be safe in their new environment, and if the new owner would be willing and financially able to care for a new pet and to commit to keeping it for the span of its natural life. In addition to logistical and practical questions, we encourage potential owners to think about how they will live daily with a new pet, and to understand what a lifelong commitment to a pet means.
