Cody's Story

Meet Cody — a sweet, handsome 8-year-old boy who has been waiting far too long for someone to see just how special he is.

Cody is the kind of dog who makes you smile. He is a mellow, easygoing guy who still has plenty of playful moments and loves chasing a ball, chewing on his favorite toys, and, most importantly, enjoying a good meal. He is very food motivated, which makes him a quick learner and a wonderful dog to work with.

Cody is house trained, crate trained, and sleeps peacefully through the night. He walks nicely on a leash with minimal pressure and generally goes about his business when he sees other dogs or small animals. He has a fairly low prey drive, though he has not lived with cats, so any introduction should be slow and supervised.

People are Cody’s favorite. He greets new people nicely, enjoys stopping to say hello, and will happily give you a few kisses. He has not lived with young children, but we feel older, dog-savvy children would be a better fit simply because Cody is a big boy who could accidentally knock over a little one.

After spending so much time waiting, Cody deserves to know what it feels like to be someone’s beloved dog. He doesn’t need a perfect family or a fancy life. He just needs someone who will see the good old boy underneath it all and give him the forever home he has been waiting for.

Cody is ready to spend his golden years being loved, spoiled, and part of a family.

Could you be the person who finally gives Cody his happily ever after?

Before emailing- please read:
- Yes, this dog is available for adoption
-The adoption fee is $265
- Apply at c2cnd.org
- The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care.
- Local adopters only.
