Cody's Story

UPDATED 1/11/2026 Hi! My name is Cody & I'm a very handsome 6-year old lemon & white male beagle! I'm a wonderful guy! I'm a happy fellow! I'm also affectionate & easygoing! My favorite things are going for long walks & meeting dogs & people! I'm very friendly with all the dogs I meet on my walks! My foster home takes me for lots of walks! I was pretty heavy when I came into Nittany Beagle Rescue. But I've lost a lot of weight since then! I've lost so much weight that now I can jump up onto my foster mom's lap! (You can see a photo of me on her lap!) I like to sit on her lap! I like to sleep in my crate or on the couch! At night, I like to sleep in my crate. I need a new home because my owner had health problems & couldn't properly care for me. I was raised with other dogs & I was very good with most of them, although I would fight with the other male dogs. But none of us were neutered. I was neutered on 9/19/25. I'm housetrained. I'll scratch on the door if I need to go outside. I would love to find my forever home where I get lots of love & attention! Please think about making me part of your family! Kennel License #4068

Nittany Beagle Rescue's Adoption Policy

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue dog & Nittany Beagle Rescue! We are a foster-home based rescue. We hold showings on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month at Lyons Kennels in Bellefonte, PA from 11am - 1pm. You can meet some of our dogs then! Please email or send a PM on our FB page if you want to know if a particular dog will be at the showing. If you are interested in a particular dog, or a type of dog, please submit an application to foster or adopt (it's the same application form). Once you have an approved application for a dog, we will connect you with the dog's foster parent. Typically the potential adopter & foster talk on the telephone first. Then if the dog seems like a good fit, we arrange a personal meet & greet.
