Hi… my name is Cody.<br/><br/>I’m about 8–10 years old, I weigh 29.6 pounds, and I spent my life doing exactly what I was bred and trained to do — hunting, working, obeying.<br/><br/>And when that job was done…<br/>I was dumped.<br/><br/>No retirement.<br/>No soft landing.<br/>Just left behind.<br/><br/>This new life I’m living with my foster mom is kind and loving. It’s all very new to me, though, so I can be a little timid. Loud noises and sudden movements scare me, and I don’t rush up to strangers.<br/><br/>But with time, patience, and a calm voice… I melt.<br/>I prance in place when I see you because I’m just so happy — and grateful — for the company.<br/><br/>I do best in a quiet, peaceful home. Kids might be a little too much for me right now, but other dogs make me feel safe.
