Coconut's Story

Meet Coconut! She's ready to take on lifes biggest adventures with you! She is very treat motivated and eager to please, loves affection and human attention. She likes fetch and drops the ball if you say "drop it," and she is doing well on recall with "Coconut come." When she was in a prior foster home, she would hang with her foster in the yard while her foster worked in the garden. She loves being outside in the yard! Did I mention she snorts a little when she is excited to play? She goes in her crate without any fuss or hestitation (prior foster used the crate at night and when she left the house). She doesn't beg at the table and has not attempted to get on the furniture ("since she came with that sense, I decided not to encourage it and let her future humans decide" - from the foster)She is an intelligent dog and picks up on cues easily. With her love of treats and eagerness to please, she has a winning combo.Coconut weighs 47 pounds, is 2 years old, is spayed, up to date on vaccines, has monthly flea and heartworm prevention, and her adoption fee is $250. Apply to meet Coconut at mpravl.org.

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
