Coconut's Story
Coconut is the sweetest girl! This approximately two-year-old mini Bernedoodle was rescued from a commercial breeding facility. When she first arrived, everything was new to her. She had no experience living in a home or walking on a leash. Since then, she has made good progress adjusting to life with her foster family, which includes three young children and a cat. She is gentle and calm with the kids and non-reactive to the cat. She even spent a night with another family who had a six-month-old small dog and happily ran around and played.

Coconut enjoys regular neighborhood walks. She walks nicely and remains calm around passing dogs, loud cars, and other everyday sights and sounds. She is fully crate trained and sleeps comfortably in her crate at night and when her foster family is not home. She rarely barks and rides calmly in the car.

Coconut is generally quiet and reserved. She is still coming out of her shell and will need a patient, loving adopter who can help her continue building confidence. She can be a bit timid, for example she is still somewhat nervous around doorways, but she is improving steadily with consistency and reassurance. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and endearing.

Coconut will thrive with a family who is understanding and that will continue to build her trust and confidence in this big world she is learning about. She will do well with respectful children, cats, and/or alongside a calm, well-mannered smaller dog.

At just 22 pounds, Coconut is the perfect medium size with a soft, curly coat. She will need grooming every few months to keep her looking her best. Coconut is spayed and fully up to date on vaccinations as well as flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She is currently being fostered in Mechanicsburg. Potential adopters and any resident dogs will need to travel there to meet her.

If you're searching for a quiet, gentle companion and are willing to give her the time and love she needs to continue adjusting to life as a cherished pet, Coconut could be the perfect match.

www.zoeshouserescue.com

Kennel license: 9117
PO box 2372
Reading, PA 19608
