Cocoa's Story
Meet Cocoa!
Cocoa arrived at Dogworks Ohio on 11/13/25 as an owner surrender, and this gorgeous 3-month-old brindle tricolor baby is now ready to find a forever family of her very own. She’s currently around 10 pounds and expected to grow to about 40 pounds—just the right size for all the adventures ahead.

Cocoa is a sweet, loving, eager-to-please girl with a gentle, soft personality. She can be shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines bright. One of her cutest quirks? She loves to be held and will happily bury herself into your chest for the coziest snuggles.

This energetic pup thrives in an active home and loves games of fetch and tug. She’s a natural explorer and a fast learner, already picking up basics like Sit, Off, and Leave It. Cocoa is also great with other dogs and enjoys their company.

Cocoa does best with a fenced yard, as she’s a bit of a runner and has some Shepherd energy mixed in. A chain-link fence works well, or an adopter who is committed to giving her consistent outdoor activity and training.

She’s still building confidence and is working on becoming more comfortable with loud noises—right now she tends to hide when she gets startled—but she’s making steady progress. She’s not yet used to walking on a leash, but with patience and encouragement, she’ll get there.

If you’re looking for a tender-hearted, active, cuddly companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Cocoa is your girl. She’s ready to bring warmth, playfulness, and devotion to her forever home.

Cocoa is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Her adoption fee is $400

Please follow the link below for her adoption application.
