Cocoa's Story

Cocoa is a loyal 4-year-old, 35 lb Chihuahua Mix who is fundamentally a good and caring dog, described by those who know her as both tough and sweet. While she needs time to build trust, once you are her person, she is intensely devoted, loving to snuggle and lean on you. She is fully potty-trained and loves to play a fierce game of tug-of-war and is an excellent co-pilot, enjoying car rides. Because she is reactive to strangers (people and dogs) until bonded, an Experienced Owner is Required who can manage her needs with space and positive reinforcement. For her safety and comfort, she must go to a Strictly Adults-Only Home (18+) and be the only pet (no dogs or cats) in a quiet, low-traffic environment. We are sadly seeking a new home due to a change in life circumstances and are looking for a committed individual ready to earn the unconditional love of this unique and loyal girl.
