Coco Pebbles's Story

Hi, I’m Coco Pebbles, but you can call me Coco! I’m a two-year-old female chihuahua, fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on heartworm medication. I’m a real survivor, ready to put my troubles behind me and live my best life! Care to join me?

My journey began with some major trauma when I was purposely thrown from a car. I was taken to a shelter where, because of my facial fractures and injuries, I was put on the euthanization list. Thankfully, Chihuahua Rescue and Transport did what they do best–rescued me and put me in a loving foster home where I got the care I needed. Now I am all healed up and ready for the next step, my forever home!

You can understand why I might be a bit fearful in new situations, but once I get to know you, I am very loyal and a bit of a mama’s girl! I get along fine with other dogs, although I might give them a warning growl if they get too close to my special human. I require quiet, gentle play, so kids or rough dogs are off-limits. I love to be held and give kisses and to sleep in bed with my family. During the day, I enjoy making myself a little tent out of a blanket where I can sleep and keep an eye on my surroundings. I’m potty trained as long as I keep to a schedule of outside trips every three to four hours.

I have a couple of special needs you should know. First, I’ll need a securely fenced yard, since I am quick to race to an opened door. I also am a very picky eater, so I’ll need a human who is willing to spend extra time and energy on my meals. My tastes change frequently, so a dog food I once enjoyed may lose my interest in a few days. My foster mom often mixes my dog food with Cream of Wheat or Farina, which I love! I also don’t like to eat alone, so my new human may need to sit with me while I’m eating.

I’ve had some trouble in my short life, but I haven’t let it destroy my sweet heart or determined spirit! Are you willing to give me the extra care and love I deserve? I know I’m worth it!

Coco Pebble’s adoption fee is $300. If you want to adopt Coco Pebbles, please DO NOT SEND A MESSAGE TO OUR RESCUE GROUP. We are too busy placing dogs in great homes to answer messages and inquiries through the listing site.

PLEASE GO TO THE LINK BELOW TO COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.

www.chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application

CRT requires an approved adoption application and a home visit for all adoption applicants.
