Coco may be a little nervous when meeting new people, but he truly thrives in the company of someone who is home often or has another dog companion. We have found that apartment living may not be the best fit for him, as he benefits from having someone around to spend time with.<br/><br/>Coco's journey began when he was found in the outside kennels of the Fort Worth shelter during a time when they were asking dogs to be moved due to frigid temps. Recognizing the need for immediate help, we took him into our boarding facility for temporary housing. However, after seeing what a wonderful dog he is, we couldn't bear to send him back to the shelter. With open hearts, we made the decision to bring Coco into our rescue, where he now awaits his forever home.<br/><br/>Since arriving in our rescue, Coco has shown us what a great dog he is. Currently living in a foster home with other dogs, Coco may feel a bit nervous around little children due to their fast movements. However, in new settings, his disposition is adorable, submissive, and happy. With time and patience, he continues to gain confidence and is now thriving on the leash. Walking beside you, Coco has become quite the pro!<br/><br/>Coco is a couch potato by nature, but when it's playtime, he will entertain himself endlessly with a toy. He loves tossing it up in the air and engaging in playful antics. Additionally, he has shown good compatibility with cats, although proper introductions are highly recommended as each cat's personality is unique.<br/><br/>While we're uncertain about how Coco would do with young children due to his nervous nature, we believe he would be just fine with bigger kids over the age of five.
