Coco's Story

MEET COCO

Clovis, California

Coco is a 10-year-old senior girl looking for a patient, understanding family to help her feel safe and loved again.

She can be very shy when she first meets someone and is still a little unsure on leash, but she is improving every day. Once Coco starts getting comfortable, her sweet personality comes out. She knows how to sit for her meals, will gently paw at you when she wants attention, and absolutely loves hanging out on the couch and sleeping with her people.

Coco came to us as a stray, but it’s obvious she belonged to someone at some point. She understands routines, is very smart, and is learning what life in a foster home is all about. Coco is doing great with regular potty breaks, but is not fully housetrained yet

Coco can be nervous about grooming, so she will need a calm, patient groomer who is willing to go slowly with her.

She also has some food guarding around both people and other animals, so we recommend feeding her separately and giving her a little space after she finishes eating. Once mealtime is over and she has had a few minutes to decompress, she is just fine.

Coco isn’t looking for perfection. She’s looking for someone patient enough to understand that confidence takes time and willing to show her that she is safe.

This sweet senior deserves a family who will love her exactly where she is and help her continue becoming the happy, confident girl we know she can be.

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://forms.gle/Gam8zDrbUSRjp8DM9
