Coco's Story

The Intake Team of Our Pal's Place received a message from Sherry, a long-time volunteer at Cobb County Animal Services, alerting us that the county was over-capacity and many dogs would be euthanized. One of which was Coco who had been in the shelter long enough that she kept being put on the kill list. Coco had a guardian angel at the shelter, however, who kept getting her off the kill list. This time was different as her guardian angel was told Coco would not be spared. Time was of the essence.

The next morning, our Intake Team was on-site as the doors opened to meet Coco. She greeted us quietly in her run as if she knew her time had come. Once in the county bonding room, Coco shared sweet kisses, enjoyed receiving attention and found a plush toy that she gently held in her mouth. We noticed the immense scar over Coco's eye which caused us to believe she may not have been treated well. We decided that needed to change and loaded Coco into our transport van to the safety of our Pet Adoption Facility.

Coco is a mild-mannered girl who appreciates and cherishes the attention she receives! Coco loves to walk and rides well in the car. She is gentle with kids. Coco recently met a young boy who was terrified of dogs ... until he met Coco.

If you are looking for a quiet, loyal companion come meet Coco!
