Coco's Story
Meet Coco!

Big ears. Beautiful eyes. An even bigger heart. And a whole lot of personality!

Coco is a happy, goofy, affectionate young girl who has never met an adventure she didn't want to be part of!

Her story started when she showed up outside her foster family's home at 1 AM on a cold, rainy night. Their dog CJ alerted them that someone was outside, and there was Coco, looking for a little help and somewhere safe to land.

What happened next was pretty special. An entire neighborhood rallied around this girl, donating food, helping with vet visits, taking her on walks, and even writing a SONG about her! When no owner could be found, her foster family welcomed her in, and Coco has been making herself right at home ever since.

And let us tell you, this girl has BRAINS.

Coco knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, stay, paw, heel, come, wait, down, drop it, spin, and even ARMY CRAWL! She'll wait patiently for permission to eat, knows how to give kisses on command, and absolutely loves learning new things.

She's basically an honor-roll student with the occasional case of puppy brain.

Coco loves long walks, sniffing everything in sight, chasing balls, car rides, playing with other dogs, and soaking up the sunshine. She's also a big fan of belly rubs and affection. Once she's burned off some energy, she's perfectly happy to settle in and enjoy some love.

Now, is Coco perfect? Nope. She's a puppy!

She gets VERY excited about meeting people and other dogs, and sometimes her enthusiasm gets the best of her. We're talking jumping, pulling on the leash, and occasionally forgetting that squirrels do not require her immediate personal attention.

But she's incredibly smart, responds beautifully to positive reinforcement, and is making great progress with her foster family.

A few things to know about Coco:

- Estimated DOB: December 1, 2025
- Dog friendly: Enjoys dogs of all sizes but would do best with a compatible, playful dog who communicates boundaries gently. She could also happily be your one and only.
- People friendly: Loves both men and women.
- Training: Crate trained and still working on perfecting her house training.
- Cats: Unknown.
- Children: Older, dog-savvy children would be ideal while she works on her excitement and jumping.
- Ideal home: An active family that enjoys walks, adventures, playtime, and continuing her training.

Coco isn't looking for someone to teach her how to love. She's already got that part completely figured out.

She's looking for someone who will appreciate her big personality, keep challenging that smart little brain, laugh at her goofy moments, and give her the consistency and patience every young dog deserves.

She's got the ears. She's got the looks. She's got the brains. And she's got SO much love to give.

Now she just needs her people.

Ready to make Coco part of your family?

Apply to adopt at [www.rescueapittie.org](http://www.rescueapittie.org)
