I’ve learned the length of them so I stop before the lead runs out. I also know when to slow down on my lead when my foster mom yells ‘careful’! I am also ready to chase any small thing I see, so I’m thinking I might be more comfortable in a large fenced yard. I love to play with my tug toy and toss it around with my family! And then I’m happy to rest and chew on my chew toys.
I’ve met Huskies and German Shepherds at the dog park and had no issues saying hello. I wasn’t really interested in playing with them because I was too busy checking out all of the new smells! But, I saw a small dog at the dog park once from far away and my foster mom got nervous because I look at the cats in my house the same way. I just want to chase them!

PROOF I’M A GOOD PAL:
Because of the cats in my house, I have to live in my own separate room. I have not destroyed anything in the house and only play with what I’m supposed to.
But, I’m lonely and I just want to be with my humans. Sometimes, my foster mom stays the night with me and I’m truly the greatest cuddler. I either lay across her legs or as close to her as possible.
I don’t have a reason to go in a crate, but I do go in very easily and behave, if needed. I’m also great in and out of the car! I go right to the back seat and sit behind my foster mom. I love to have the window cracked to smell all of the smells. If it’s a longer ride, I even lay down for a nap.

MEDICAL INFO:
My previous owners didn’t have me on regular flea/tick prevention and I ended up getting Lyme Disease. I don’t have any clinical symptoms, am now on monthly flea and tick prevention, and took my course of antibiotics. I should go to the vet every year for a quick blood check to make I’m still healthy, but it hasn’t affected my life at all!
I did have a bit of anxiety when I first met my foster family. I’m just the happiest when I’m with my people. I started taking the medication, Fluoxetine, that I easily take once a day tucked in a pill pocket and it’s helped me so much!
Just to be on the safe side, my foster mom muzzles me when we go to the vet and I don’t give her any trouble when she puts it on.
I love everyone! Sometimes I get a little concerned when someone is on my property that I don’t know, but as soon as they come say hello, they are immediately my new friend.

I JUST WANT TO BE LOVED:
If my foster family didn’t have so many indoor cats, they said they would love for me to stay here. They say I’m pretty perfect. But, we both know I’d be so much happier if I could be with my family all the time.
I really just want to be your best friend.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

~Coco is also looking for a new foster until she finds her forever home~

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Speak for the Unspoken's Adoption Policy
Before completing our online application please read the following: Our adoption process involves multiple steps and it typically takes up to 2 weeks from the time we receive your application to the time your adoption is finalized. We reserve the right to deny any application without explanation. All of our dogs and/or puppies are in foster homes. We do not schedule “Meet and Greets” without an approved application. Our Adoption Fees start at $325 per dog, $75 per cat or kitten. We can adopt an animal ‘out of state’, but you must be willing to travel to where the pet is being fostered, and transport the animal yourself after the adoption. If you have other animals (dogs/cats) in your home, they must be up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm testing and prevention (dogs), and spayed/neutered. We will verify this with your veterinarian. If your animals are not up to date, your application will be denied. Please make sure to fully complete your application; leaving questions blank or not including all requested information will delay your application. Once your online application is submitted, it can take our volunteers 5 to 7 business days to process it. If we have questions about your application, we will email you. Please make sure to add our email, adopt@speakfortheunspoken.com to your email so our messages do not end up in your spam folder! Once your application is approved by the processors, it is sent to the person fostering the dog you have applied for. They will make the decision on whether the animal that you applied for is the right fit for you and your home. They may also choose to initially contact you via email or phone. If you do not respond promptly to their email or phone call, they will move on to the next applicant. Your application will be saved on file for 1 year and will be used for all dogs you would be interested in that time-frame. No need to keep filling out applications! Adoption application approval means you are approved to adopt an animal from us, it does not mean you are necessarily approved for the animal you applied for. There may be specific circumstances in your home that do not make it a good fit for one animal, but it may be a fine fit for another.
