Coco's Story

Coco has lived with elderly folks and been a lapdog - unfortunately in life, sometimes people have medical issues and cannot continue to care for an animal. Through no fault of his own, Coco is without a home! He is an adorable tan/white male Chihuahua, his teeth look like he is 4-5 years old, and he is scared of this loud shelter environment - he needs a good, responsible home! He has shown no signs of aggression, and I do not have any other small dogs to try him with, so I do not know how he is with other dogs, but he has not stood up and barked/growled at any others in the shelter yet.

City of Edna Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

We will discuss with you how the animal you are interested in may or may not fit into your family. There is an adoption form and you will need to make sure you have a current and valid drivers license. Once the application has been approved, you will be directed to Edna City Hall to pay the $20 adoption fee while we microchip your pet. We are required to make certain the dogs have all their shots prior to leaving us, so we will transport the dog to the local vet where you will pay the $34 for all the shots.

The City of Edna Animal Shelter has many adoptable dogs. We work very closely with the local rescue organizations, but we also adopt animals straight out of our pound.
